An Important Story

When it comes to asking for help with financial struggles, it can be embarrassing. Embarrassing for several reasons, one of the most prevalent being: I never thought I’d have to do this.

Thank you for clicking into my post. I wanted to share this with you all. I am in a tight spot, but it’s not the end of the world. I don’t want you all to think this is doom and gloom. I’m mainly sharing this because I want to share some of the things I’m working on that’ll help me get back on track with my finances.

To start: I am holding a couple of fundraisers, one of which is directly associated with my new entity, Blankets of Blessings.

One fundraiser is for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

The other helps to directly assist me with the current financial difficulty I am facing due to unpaid medical expenses and other personal expenses.

I’ve taken all the major steps: I’ve talked to the companies I’m paying these expenses to, and set up payment arrangements.

Just for this month, I’m in a really tight spot. Even with a full time job, I’m in a tight spot. Once I get past July, things will turn around.

At the end of this month I have to move out of my apartment since I can no longer afford to pay the rent, bills and be able to survive. These bills are always going to be there (aside from rent), and this is true for everyone. Thankfully, Thank God, I’m able to move in with my parents.

How I got into this situation (and this is the honest truth):

  • Moved out into my own apartment last year (main cause)
  • Started to use a credit card to buy food and gas and pay for some bills because my main income couldn’t cover rent and survival (this is also the main cause of the struggle)
  • That ended up getting maxed out.
  • Still have a large amount of medical expenses I have to take care of
  • Not listening to my parents.

As a result, and because I’m not about to sit here and wallow in stress, sadness and the feeling of defeat because of the choices I made, I launched Blankets of Blessings where each blanket that I make that gets purchased, 10% of the proceeds will be directly donated to the foundation. If you decide to directly donate to me, I’m also donating 10% of those funds directly to the foundation. At your request, it will be accompanied with a prayer for whatever you may be dealing with in your life.

Here’s a couple of pictures of blankets I have created and sold:

It would mean the world for you to like and share this information! Even if you cannot afford to purchase a blanket, or donate anything, the simple action of your sharing this post could have a major impact on another’s life.

My main focus is to assist the Crohn’s Foundation. Nevermind my situation. Crohn’s Disease can be a truly debilitating disease depending upon your circumstances. There’s no cure for it yet. Let’s work together and help discover one by supporting the foundation through these efforts. God Bless and thank you in advance 🙏🏽

Once I get everything paid off, the remaining funds will go directly to the foundation. I’m keeping nothing for myself.

I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for your assistance in this difficult time I am facing. ❤️

In the meantime, I’m going to continue to smile so I can get through this. This is only temporary and I know God’s got me!
